Questions about Natalie's Cosmetics Products
We are 100% VEGAN. In the European Union, selling cosmetic products tested on animals is prohibited. The ban on animal testing applies to both the final formulation and the ingredients of the product.
Overall, all Natalie's products are free from ingredients of animal origin, silicones, mineral oils, parabens, kerosene, PEGs, microplastics, essential oils and drying alcohols.
Our products are produced in Germany and ingredients are sourced within the EU, according to strict EU cosmetic guidelines.
Our products do not contain essential oils. Essential oils can cause allergic reactions, especially in people prone to skin rashes and those who have pollen allergies. Reactions to essential oils may include skin rashes, itchy and runny nose, and difficulty breathing.
Natalie (as a doctor) and the company's chemist use their knowledge to investigate clinical studies and research: Ingredients, pH levels, ingredient concentrations, and ingredient combinations to develop effective, science-based personal care. They always stay on top of the latest scientific research and strive to develop the most effective products for their customers.
All of our products are safe and effective to use on your face, although it also depends entirely on your skin. It is more of a marketing statement that body products cannot be used on the face, especially if they meet the same high quality standards as facial products, like our products do.
Unfortunately, we do not offer samples in the form of sachets. However, our 75 ml products are wonderful for testing. We offer our Hydration Body Gel, Better Aging Body Lotion and Smooth Body Lotion in 75 ml. Only after multiple applications, you can really judge the effect of a product, which is why we have chosen this variant. In addition, these sizes are perfect for traveling.
Products containing retinol and salicylic acid should not be used during pregnancy. Therefore, you should NOT use our Better Aging Body Lotion, Purity Body Lotion and Glow Body Exfoliator during pregnancy.
We generally recommend the application of sunscreen, as sun accelerates the skin aging process and can lead to long-term skin damage. Regarding our products, we especially recommend applying sunscreen after applying all of our body lotions (Better Aging, Glow, Smooth and Purity). We would like to point out that all products (regardless of brand) that contain retinol or an AHA acid (e.g. fruit acid) remove the dead skin cells and therefore the skin can burn faster in the sun.
Natalie's Cosmetics Body Oils
Since our body oils are formulated with non comedogenic (non pore clogging) cold pressed oils they should be fine to use on the face (patch test first). However, while body oils are generally safe for the body, they may not be suitable for facial skin. The skin on the face is typically more sensitive and prone to breakouts, so it's best to use products specifically formulated for facial use.
Yes, both our body oils can be applied during pregnancy. We recommend applying our Calm Body Oil mixed with our Hydration Body Gel 2-3 times a day during pregnancy.
Body oils can be suitable for various skin types, including dry, normal, and combination skin. However, individuals with oily or acne-prone skin may want to choose lightweight oils or opt for oil-free moisturizers to avoid clogging pores. Since our body oils are formulated with non comedogenic (non pore clogging) cold pressed oils they should be fine for every skin type (patch test first).
If you have sensitive skin, it's important to choose body oils that are labeled as hypoallergenic or specifically formulated for sensitive skin. This is the case for our calm and better aging body oil. Patch testing a small area before applying it all over your body is also recommended to check for any adverse reactions.
Body oils are cosmetic products designed to moisturize and nourish the skin. We only use organic, cold pressed oils derived from almonds or jojoba.
Body oils are best applied after a shower or bath, while your skin is still slightly damp. Pour a small amount into your palm, rub your hands together, and then massage the oil onto your body in gentle, circular motions. Allow the oil to absorb into your skin before dressing. You can also add it to our hydration body gel or lotions.
Body oils help to moisturize and hydrate the skin, leaving it soft, smooth, and supple. They can also improve the appearance of dry or dull skin, promote relaxation, and provide a pleasant fragrance.
Body oils typically last 1 to 2 years. To extend their lifespan, it is recommended to store them in a dark, cool place and in a tightly sealed container. The shelf life can vary based on the type of oil, ingredients, and exposure to heat, light, and air. Regular use and hygiene practices can also influence longevity. If a body oil changes in color, texture, or smell, it may have gone bad and should not be used.
Most body oils are easily absorbed into the skin and do not leave stains on clothing when applied correctly. However, it's always a good idea to allow the oil to fully absorb into your skin before dressing to minimize the chance of transfer.
Yes, body oils can be used as massage oils. Their moisturizing properties can enhance the massage experience, leaving your skin feeling nourished and smooth. In our case, our body oils are dry oils and thus absorb quickly. This might make them not so ideal for extensive massages.
Pregnant women should consult with their healthcare provider before using body oils, especially if they contain essential oils. Some essential oils may not be safe during pregnancy, so it's important to seek professional advice. However, we do not use essential oils, thus the oils can be used without any problem.
Natalie's Cosmetics Hand Creams
Both hand creams are wonderfully suitable for the cold season. For dry hands and nails, we definitely recommend the Repair Hand Cream, as it is designed precisely for this purpose. Of course, the Better Aging Hand Cream also contains moisture-donating ingredients. However, since the skin is much more stressed in winter, these may not be sufficient or need to be applied more frequently. Here it generally depends on how dry your hands are in winter. If you want to apply a cream against dry hands and nails as well as against wrinkles and lines, the application of both creams is of course an option. Otherwise, you can also try mixing the Better Aging Hand Cream with a few drops of our Calm Body Oil and apply it to your hands. Depending on how dry your hands are, that might be enough.
We offer the hand creams only in one size (60 ml). The reason for this is that we work with high-quality active ingredients and fewer chemical preservatives. With larger quantities there is an increased risk that the products react over time with, for example, oxygen. The effectiveness is best when the products are rather "fresh" and not stored for a long time.
Hand cream is a specialized moisturizer designed specifically for the hands. It helps to hydrate and nourish the skin, prevent dryness and cracking, and maintain soft and smooth hands. Regular use of hand cream is essential for keeping hands healthy and protected.
The frequency of hand cream application depends on individual needs and lifestyle. It is generally recommended to apply hand cream multiple times throughout the day, especially after washing hands, to replenish moisture and maintain optimal skin hydration.
Effective hand creams often contain ingredients like shea butter, glycerin, vitamin E, lanolin, or natural oils (such as coconut oil or almond oil). These ingredients help to moisturize, nourish, and protect the skin on the hands. Both our Repair Hand Cream and Better Aging Hand Cream include multiple of those ingredients and even more.
Yes, hand cream is specifically formulated to combat dryness and roughness of the hands. It provides intense hydration, helps to restore the skin's natural moisture barrier, and improves the overall texture and appearance of the hands. Our Repair Hand Cream is specifically formulated to fight dry and sensitive hands and nails.
Many hand creams are suitable for sensitive skin, but it's important to choose gentle formulations that are free from fragrance, irritants, and harsh chemicals. Look for hand creams labeled as hypoallergenic or dermatologist-tested for sensitive skin. Our Repair Hand Cream and Better Aging Hand Cream both are suitable for sensitive skin.
Some hand creams are designed to target signs of aging on the hands, such as wrinkles, fine lines, and age spots. Look for hand creams that contain anti-aging ingredients like retinol, antioxidants, or hyaluronic acid to address these concerns. Our Better Aging Hand Cream is specifically formulated to reduce aging signs.
Yes, certain hand creams offer additional benefits for nail and cuticle care. They can help to moisturize and soften cuticles, strengthen nails, and improve the overall health and appearance of nails and surrounding skin. Our Repair Hand Cream is not only formulated to help with dry hands but to additionally strengthen your nails and generally improve their health.
Natalie's Cosmetics Body Lotions
Body lotion is not specifically designed to treat sunburn. It's best to use aloe vera gel or a dedicated after-sun product to soothe sunburned skin. These products are formulated to provide relief and hydration after sun exposure. Our Hydration Body Gel for example can be perfectly applied to treat a sunburn or in general after taking a sun bath.
Certain body lotions, especially those labeled as hypoallergenic or formulated for sensitive skin, may provide relief for conditions like eczema or psoriasis. Look for body lotions that are fragrance-free and dermatologist-tested to minimize potential irritants. Our Hydration Body Gel contains several ingredients which help with exactly such skin conditions.
Effective body lotions often contain ingredients like hyaluronic acid, shea butter, glycerin, vitamin E, and natural oils (such as jojoba or almond oil). These ingredients help to moisturize, nourish, and protect the skin. All of these ingredients are found in our body lotions. For example:

Look for body lotions specifically formulated for dry or sensitive skin for optimal results.
Yes, there are body lotions formulated to target specific skin concerns like anti-aging, firming, or improving skin elasticity. This is what the products of Natalie’s Cosmetics are all about. These lotions often contain specialized ingredients like retinol, peptides, or collagen-boosting compounds to address specific skin needs. Such ingredients are found in our body lotions. Try our Better Aging Body Lotion with retinol to treat aging skin, our Hydration Body Gel for dry and sensitive skin, our Smooth Body Lotion for flaky, dull skin, ingrown hair and keratosis pilaris, our Glow Body Lotion against hyperpigmentation or our Purity Body Lotion for hormonal and acne prone skin.

Body lotion can be used daily after a shower or bath, ideally when the skin is still slightly damp. This helps lock in moisture. You can also use it as needed throughout the day if your skin feels dry or tight.
Body lotions with high concentrations of hyaluronic acid can provide intense hydration. Look for products that specifically mention hyaluronic acid as a key ingredient on the label. Hyaluronic acid is for example a key ingredient in our Hydration Body Gel and Glow Body Lotion.
While body lotions are designed for the body, they are generally safe to use on the face. However, facial skin is more delicate and may require specific facial moisturizers. It's recommended to choose products specifically formulated for facial use to address unique skin needs. However, our Hydration Body Gel for example can be perfectly used in the face – we have heard from several customers that they have stopped using other facial products and only use our Hydration Body Gel instead. Also men love it.
Body lotions are not ideal for the face due to differences in skin thickness and sensitivity. Facial skin requires products that are non-comedogenic and formulated to address specific facial skin concerns. It's advisable to use a dedicated facial moisturizer for the best results, unless your body lotion meets the same high quality standards as facial products, like our products do.

It improves skin texture, prevents dryness, and can enhance the overall appearance and health of the skin.
